For those of you, who have just arrived on the island of Java, it would be nice for you to take the time to visit the city of heroes, namely the city of Surabaya, surely you have already known the history of this city. Yaps right, a city full of struggles against the Dutch army for days without getting tired, and this city have a unique icon, that a statue and name of the stature is Sura and Baya. Surely you have heard this story when you were in elementary school first. Besides having a unique icon, this city also has a monument, and this monument is also one of the characteristics of this city, namely Tugu Pahlawan or abbreviated (Tupal), the people around there abbreviate it like that.
Okay, I will briefly review the history of the founding of this Hero Monument. So, this hero monument was inaugurated by the first president, namely Ir. Soekarno and was inaugurated on November 10, 1952, so to commemorate the heroes who died at that time. For the location itself, the Hero Monument is in Contong Square, Bubutan, and of course on the island of Java and in the City of Surabaya.
Okay, we will continue the part of the hero
monument after we enter the gate
where there are statues of Soekarno and Hatta, we are treated to quite
extraordinary views, namely the existence
of a field and some plants, and we also find some
historical relics during the war
such as war cars, cannons and still much more, and within this place,
there is also a museum. This museum
is called the November 10, where there are relics during the war
such as war photos, and a miniature
of the city of Surabaya at that time, of course, to be able to enter
this museum, a for-fee of Rp. 2000
rupiah for an individual, and fortunately for those of you who
carry a student card, you do not have to
pay for the entrance ticket to it. Continuing with what was
earlier in this museum there is also
a cinema which is devoted to seeing re-scenes of events during
the war, and of course, this museum
is a depiction of the 10th November 1945 war. Photos of
heroes' struggles, heroes' relics,
heroes' mannequins. And I also had time to interview a visitor at
this hero monument, for her
name is mbak Siti Romla, who happens to be a resident. According to
her, "I'm sure I'm happy to be
able to visit this historical Monument in Surabaya, it's beautiful and
clean, and the effect is good,
